Objective: Obtain experience detailing Construction Documents and understand the design process.
In my architectural internship at the Dahlin Group, with CAD and Photoshop skills already under my belt, I was able to learn even more about the different market sectors in this field, career paths and even added Revit and Sketchup to my skill set. I contributed to both the Single-Family Residential team and the Multi-Family Buildings team. While at Dahlin, I also discovered just how valuable people and organization skills are in this process. Working closely with my Project Manager, Darian, I came to learn that the design process requires teamwork and large scale coordination on all levels: company, team and between clients, the city and consultants. This was important for me as I am energized in team situations and often take a leadership role, so I can see myself in a position that incorporated both design decisions and group organization. This is an example of a Multi-Family project I contributed to in Revit.
